Mage pawns are normally best suited to this inclination as mages have spells to cast to heal their teammates. Choosing this or hiring pawns with this inclination can heal or aid you and your party.

Simple

Pawns with the Simple inclination will carry a more curious and friendly personality and will gather items and will tell you they have found an area to explore and hand you items they have gathered. Apart from gathering items, they will also craft curatives and implements that could help you. Choosing this or hiring pawns with this inclination can be handy in gathering or crafting items for you.

Straightforward

Pawns with the Straightforward inclination will be more blunt and outspoken, they also keep a keen eye on spotting enemies for combat. During combat, these types of pawns will attack with all their strength and be more daring than pawns with other inclinations. Best Pawn Inclination for Each Vocation in Dragon's Dogma 2

DD2 Fighter Vocation

Fighter pawns are normally the ones that should lead the battle which means they fit with the Straightforward inclination. Straightforward Fighters will be brutal in battle and hunt down enemies to protect their allies. This also makes them ideal protectors as their Straightforward inclination will make them fearless and go the extra mile to land hits on enemies.

DD2 Warrior Vocation

Warrior pawns are more hard-hitting in battle but have fewer defensive stats. While fighting larger enemies with bigger health bars, it is better to have a warrior with the Straightforward inclination.

DD2 Thief Vocation

Thief pawns often charge into battle to draw attention but are weak in defense, so hiring or having a pawn that is the Calm inclination is best suited for Thieves. They can avoid getting aggressive in battle as well as keeping themself safe.

DD2 Mage Vocation

Mage pawns are equal in offensive and defensive skills so it allows you more flexibility whether you want a pawn with the Calm inclination or the Kindhearted inclination to either get a support mage or a curious mage. The Calm Inclination especially suits a Mage Pawnwho are positioned away from the battle so they can cast their spells freely. They will go the extra mile to avoid getting damaged and fit the class perfectly because of their low health bars.

DD2 Sorcerer Vocation

Sorcerer pawns are stronger Mages but have more offensive skills. A Kindhearted Sorcerer is useful but having a Calm Sorcerer will be better to aid your team and themselves during battle. They often carry spells that can easily target the enemy's weaknesses.

DD2 Archer Vocation

Archer pawns usually have no close-combat skills so having an Archer who carries the Calm inclination is best suited. It gives a higher chance of aiming and landing their shots onto the enemy's vital spots.
